We are looking for new volunteer directors who live in Yorkshire, the Humber or the North East

 

We are looking for one person who is a family carer for someone who has a learning disability or an autistic person.

 

We are also looking for a professional with experience of working in charity fundraising or philanthropy (giving money to help good causes).

 

We are looking for people with these qualities:

 

People who are passionate about human rights.

 

People who are good at listening and can speak up in meetings.

 

People with enough time to come to 6 meetings a year and to read the reports.

 

People with good ideas about how to make life better for people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families

 

Being on the Board of Directors is voluntary. This means you don’t get paid for doing it.

 

We pay expenses. This means if anything to do with being a Director costs you money, we pay you back.

We will use the application forms to choose the people we want to interview.

Family Carer Director

A family carer of a person with a learning disability or an autistic person

Professional Director

Experience in charity, philanthropy, fundraising or organisational development

We are looking for people who:

  • People who live or work in Yorkshire, Humber or the North East
  • Care about human rights and inclusion
  • Want to help shape strategy and future direction
  • Can work collaboratively and bring ideas and challenge
  • Are committed to improving lives and systems

What is involved?

  • Attend board meetings 6 times a year
  • Support the strategic direction of Inclusion North
  • Champion inclusion and lived experience
