We want to reduce restraint and restriction for people with a learning disability and autistic people in hospitals and in the community.

This work is connected to learning from the Whorlton Hall abuse scandal.

Things we planned to do reduce restraint and restriction are:

· Attending a Restraint Reduction Conference with experts by experience.

· Co-designing a video about restraint and restriction, with experts by experience.

We have more activities planned for when the above work is finished.

This includes:

· Co-producing guidance on preventing restraint and using de-escalation strategies.

· Co-producing guidance about post-incident support for individuals and staff and learning and reflecting from incidents of restraint.
