Hello my name is Gaynor and I am an Expert by Experience at Inclusion North.
I am a mother of a son with a learning disability, epilepsy and who is on the autistic spectrum.
He was admitted to Prudhoe and Northgate hospitals but is now very happily settled in a community home is Sunderland.
I am a retired Biology teacher.

Attended meetings during the resettlement of my son into a community home.
I was a member of a Medical Research Ethics Committee for 17 years where I represented the interests of patients who lack capacity.
What is important to me
It is important that I make a difference to the lives of those in hospital via Care and Treatment Review meetings, speaking up for the rights and welfare of patients.
