My Experience

 

I have Cerebral Palsy.

Attending Partnership Board and other meetings.

Ex local Mencap Committee member.

Member of the local Mencap Advisory Group.

 

My Skills and Knowledge

 

A good understanding of complex needs and equipment people need.

Knowing what the NHS are doing for people with a learning disability and autism as I am a member of the Health Task Group.

Working with the local police on hate crime and community safety.

 

What is important to me

 

Being able to have a say and have my voice heard.

Helping to make a difference for people.

Being able to do and go wherever I choose and being able to challenge when this does not happen.

My family and friends.
