Expert Hub

Inclusion North is pleased to have a group of 33 diverse, experienced Expert Advisers who are fully employed by the organisation and work across the North East, Yorkshire & Humber and Derbyshire.
Experts have lived experience of either being a person with a learning disability or autism or as a family carer.

All our Experts are recruited by completing an application form and are interviewed.

We check references and checks to make sure people have not broken the law,. These checks are called Disclosure and Barring checks.

Experts have an induction, and receive ongoing training, supervision and pastoral support.

We support our Experts to get the right advice about how work may affect benefits.

Our Experts provide a range of skills and knowledge which they use to help shape what good services, good support, and good care and treatment should look like.

They do a range of work, including delivering training, attending workshops and consultations and taking part in Care and Treatment Reviews.

Our Experts understand human rights and what full participation looks like and how to ensure people with a learning disability and autism are included.
