Gateshead Insights Network
Gateshead Council are working with Inclusion North to establish a community led approach to engage people with a learning disability, autistic people, and their families with the Gateshead Learning Disability and Autism Plan.
The ‘Insights Network’ is a group of community partners and experts by experience who will lead the design and delivery of the engagement work.
Community organisations and groups are perfectly placed to reach out and ensure conversations about services and support for people with a learning disability, autistic people, and their families takes place where it matters most, directly with the people themselves.
How this is done and development of any resources needed to support this will be shaped by the knowledge and experience of the Insights Network.
The Insights Network aims to bring together community organisation and groups who work in Gateshead with:
- Adults with a learning disability
- Autistic adults
- Children and young people with a learning disability
- Autistic children and young people
- Families of autistic people or people with a learning disability.
