Bringing change to the Board! – Inclusive Governance
Bringing change to the Board! – our award-winning Inclusive Governance programme.
Bringing Change to the Board is a training and development programme that gives leaders with lived experience the knowledge, skills and practice they need to become Directors and Trustees. Making real and important decisions on organisational boards.
The programme also offers organisational Boards a chance to reflect, make changes and build an inclusive culture. Developing a Board which encourages, supports and enables people with a learning disability and autistic people to lead the organisation.
In December 2021, the Bringing Change to the Board team were awarded Highly Commended for their work in the Disability Smart Awards in the Communications category. This was an amazing achievement and they were only beaten by international, multi-million pound company Unilever.
“We believe there should be more Directors and Trustees with lived experience on organisation boards”.
“We need everyone on board to change the Board”
The resources we developed for the programme are all free to download. You will find them in the Downloads Section at the side of this page.
For organisations who require more help and support to develop this inclusive practice within their organisation we can offer:
- a full training course for people with lived experience, with additional support for the organisation’s Board.
- a tailored offer, to meet specific needs through shorter, focused joint sessions.
