We are looking for 3 people with a learning disability and 3 family carers of someone with a learning disability to to join the Newcastle Advisory Group.

We are looking for 3 people with a learning disability and 3 family carers of someone with a learning disability to to join the Newcastle Advisory Group.

 

The Group comes together with support from Inclusion North to work with Newcastle City Council.

 

Together we think about what support, services and opportunities people with a learning disability in Newcastle have to live a good life.

 

To join the Group you will need to be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Live in Newcastle
  • Use or know about services for people with a learning disability in the area

 

The Group comes together once a month for 1.5 hours and meets online using Zoom.

 

We are looking for people who have these skills

  • Can listen well to other people and work as part of a team
  • Can speak up in meetings
  • Can speak up for other people
  • Can use a computer or phone to join online meetings in Zoom

 

We pay £10 per hour involvement fee to everyone on the group.
