Inclusion North is looking to recruit a Supporter for an existing job holder who has a learning disability and lives in the Newcastle area.
They are working on a project called Take the Lead, to train people with a learning disability and autistic people to become leaders in their local area.
The Supporter’s role is to provide support to the job holder, for example:
To understand some words and pronunciation
To check the Leadership Coach’s information for grammar and to make sure it makes sense
Support with IT skills
To travel to various locations and to make any necessary travel bookings at their request
The Supporter will need to be able to work in the job holder’s own home and attend events with them in person out of the area. This includes travel across the North East and Yorkshire and Humber. Ideally you would live locally to Newcastle?

The Supporter’s role is part-time for 8 hours per week until October 2024, this could be extended depending on funding. It will need to be worked flexibly across the week, including evenings.

Inclusion means everyone living good lives as valued members of society. We work to change society so that everyone can have a good life.
