Involvement opportunity for People Living In North Yorkshire & York with a learning disability, autistic people and family carers
As part of their membership with Inclusion North the North Yorkshire and York Learning Disability and Autism Programme Board would like to get local people involved in the work that they doing.
Inclusion North exists to promote the rights and inclusion of all people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families.
We are looking for local people with a learning disability, autistic people including young people and family carers to join a group.
There are different things that you could get involved in:
- Are you interested in web-sites?
- Are you keen to have your say about local services?
- We are a friendly group and would like to hear from you
- You can be paid for your involvement
We really welcome people with a learning disability and autistic people who are:
- from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds
- lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LGBTQ+)
- Young people
What skills, knowledge and experience do you need to be involved?
- Have experience of using health and social care services
- Knowledge of what works and what doesn’t in your local area
- Be able to share your ideas
- Join us at a face to face or zoom meeting

We will start the meeting at 1.00pm and finish around 3.00pm, cake and a drink will be available.
What will happen at the meeting?
At the meeting we will get to know each other, find out about the work that is happening in York and North Yorkshire and make a plan.
It will be an opportunity for you to help North Yorkshire and York Learning Disability and Autism Programme Board to think about the most important things needed to work together well with people with lived experience.
